Don't Build Today's House With Yesterday's Electrical Plan

A basic electrical plan may satisfy code requirements, but it doesn't necessarily account for how a modern home is actually used.

Where will your TVs go?

Where should wireless access points be located?

Do you want ceiling speakers?

Are you considering Control4?

Will you eventually add a pool, outdoor kitchen, detached garage, EV charger, home theater, golf simulator, cameras, or landscape lighting?

These decisions are considerably easier—and often less expensive—to accommodate before insulation and drywall.

You don't necessarily need to install everything now. We can help make sure the infrastructure is there when you're ready.

You're the GC. We'll Help With the Electrical.

This should probably be one of the most important sections because it's directly speaking to the person you're targeting.

Building your own home doesn't mean you have to figure out every technical detail yourself.

Techkinect can work directly with you and coordinate with your architect, utility provider, HVAC contractor, cabinet company, drywall contractor, and other trades throughout construction.

We'll help identify what decisions need to be made, when they need to be made, and what information we need from the other contractors involved.

You manage the build. We'll manage the electrical and technology scope.

Planning a New Home?

Whether you're reviewing plans, preparing to break ground, or already framing your home, getting the electrical contractor involved early can prevent expensive changes later.

The earlier electrical and technology decisions are made, the easier they are to coordinate during construction.

Techkinect can work with you during the planning stage to develop electrical and technology drawings that document the systems and infrastructure for your new home.

✓ Electrical & Receptacle Layouts

✓ Low-Voltage & Structured Wiring
✓ Network & Wi-Fi Locations

These drawings provide a coordinated plan that can be used during construction, help communicate your requirements to the trades involved, and reduce costly decisions or changes in the field.

Whether Techkinect completes the installation or you're still determining who will build the project, we can help turn your technology and electrical requirements into a clear plan before construction begins.

From Plans to Final Inspection
This is where I'd explain your actual process rather than listing more services.
1. Plans & Electrical Design
We review the architectural plans, discuss how you intend to use the home, and identify electrical and technology requirements before construction begins.
2. Rough-In
Electrical, low-voltage, network, audio, security, lighting, and technology infrastructure are installed while the framing is accessible.
3. Trim & Equipment Installation
Once finishes are complete, we install receptacles, switches, fixtures, speakers, network equipment, televisions, controls, and other selected technology.
4. Programming & Commissioning
Smart-home, lighting, network, audio, and other integrated systems are configured, tested, and ready for use.
