RECENT PROJECTS

Techkinect completed a comprehensive, multi-phase technology upgrade for this Lebanon, Ohio residence, integrating indoor and outdoor entertainment, Control4 automation, professional networking, landscape lighting, and electrical systems throughout the property.

A major focus of the project was the home's pool and outdoor entertainment area. The system includes a 75-inch Samsung Terrace outdoor television, premium soundbar, outdoor speakers, a Triad Garden Array subwoofer, additional Episode rock speakers, Denon AV receiver, streaming equipment, and a dedicated equipment rack.

Control4 was integrated throughout the project to simplify operation of the home's technology. The outdoor system incorporates a Control4 CORE controller, an 8-inch in-wall touchscreen, smart dimmers and switches, while additional Control4 controllers and Halo remotes provide integrated control for entertainment systems elsewhere in the home.

Inside the home, Techkinect integrated entertainment systems in the basement, bedroom, and living room. The living room features a Samsung Frame television, Sonos Arc and subwoofer integrated with Control4, while additional Samsung displays and Control4 systems extend the experience into other areas of the residence.

Outdoor & Landscape Lighting

The property received an extensive FX Luminaire lighting system controlled by a Luxor controller. The original phase included 13 FX ground/well lights and four uplights, along with dedicated control equipment and professional installation.

The exterior lighting system was later expanded with an additional 16 FX Luminaire ZDC pathway/ground-wash fixtures, Cat6 connectivity, and Control4 programming, creating a substantial connected lighting system across the property.

Professional Network Infrastructure

The home's connected systems are supported by a professionally designed network. The original installation included a UniFi Dream Machine Pro, managed PoE switches, multiple Wi-Fi 6 access points, WattBox power management, and Control4 network integration.

The network was subsequently upgraded with Araknis equipment, including four indoor Wi-Fi 6 access points, an outdoor Wi-Fi access point, router, and two managed PoE switches. Techkinect also completed a significant ISP infrastructure upgrade involving conduit, coax, and approximately 400 feet of trenching to improve connectivity to the property.

Additional electrical work extended technology and lighting to the barn and windmill areas of the property.

The result is a property-wide technology system that extends well beyond the walls of the home—bringing entertainment, lighting, connectivity, and automation together across the residence, pool, patio, landscape, garage, and additional outdoor areas.
