A custom Control4 smart home featuring a dedicated 7.1.4 Dolby Atmos home theater with a 120-inch projection screen, whole-home automation, professional networking, smart lighting, and centralized AV equipment for effortless control throughout the home.
This Cincinnati-area residence was transformed into a fully integrated smart home centered around a Control4 automation system. The homeowner wanted a seamless way to control entertainment, lighting, networking, and smart home devices while creating a premium home theater for family movie nights and entertaining guests.
At the heart of the installation is a professionally organized AV equipment rack housing the Control4 controller, audio distribution equipment, networking hardware, power management, and supporting electronics. By centralizing the system, the installation remains clean, organized, and easy to expand as the homeowner's technology needs grow.
The dedicated basement theater was designed around the homeowner's existing Wolf Cinema projector, paired with a 120-inch thin bezel projection screen and a 7.1.4 Dolby Atmos surround sound system powered by a Denon AV Receiver. Hidden architectural speakers and clean cable management preserve the room's modern appearance while delivering an immersive cinematic experience.
Beyond the theater, the Control4 platform provides intuitive control of whole-home audio, smart lighting, Apple TV, televisions, garage integration, and other connected devices through a single user-friendly interface. The system was designed with future expansion in mind, allowing additional smart home technologies to be integrated as the homeowner's needs evolve.
To support the automation platform, Techkinect upgraded the home's networking infrastructure with professional-grade equipment, organized structured cabling, and centralized power management to ensure reliable performance throughout the residence.
The finished system delivers a simple, reliable smart home experience that combines premium entertainment, whole-home automation, and professional integration into one cohesive Control4 ecosystem.
