A custom basement transformation featuring a Sony native 4K laser projector, 120-inch acoustically transparent screen, 7.1 surround sound, Control4 automation, smart lighting, and professional electrical installation.
This Mason, Ohio basement was transformed into a dedicated entertainment space that combines a premium home theater with intelligent Control4 smart home automation. The project included new electrical work, architectural audio, smart lighting, networking, and centralized AV equipment to create an immersive entertainment experience.
The theater is centered around a Sony VPL-XW5000ES native 4K laser projector paired with a 120-inch Dragonfly acoustically transparent projection screen. Hidden architectural speakers, a 7.1 surround sound system, and a Denon AVR-X4800H receiver provide powerful, room-filling audio while maintaining a clean, modern appearance.
Beyond the theater, the basement received a complete electrical upgrade including recessed LED lighting, decorative wall sconces, additional receptacles, smoke detectors, speaker pre-wiring, structured network cabling, and a professionally organized AV equipment rack. A Control4 system integrates lighting, entertainment, and automation into one intuitive interface for effortless control throughout the space.
The finished basement delivers a true luxury entertainment experience while providing a scalable foundation for future smart home expansion and connected technologies.
