Techkinect designed and installed this custom home theater in Bellbrook, Ohio around a 120-inch acoustically transparent projection screen and an ultra-short-throw 4K laser projection system.

The theater features an Optoma CinemaX P2 4K UHD laser projector paired with a 120-inch DragonFly Thinline Ultra AcoustiWeave screen. The acoustically transparent screen material allows speakers to be positioned behind the viewing surface while maintaining a clean, theater-style appearance.

The audio system was built around Klipsch architectural speakers and a Denon AVR-S960H receiver. The system was configured as a 7.2 Dolby Atmos surround system, utilizing front in-wall speakers, four in-ceiling speakers, and dual Klipsch subwoofers to provide immersive sound throughout the room.

Techkinect handled the complete installation and configuration of the theater, including speaker wiring, HDMI connectivity, projector and screen installation, speaker installation, drywall repair, and final audio calibration. New Cat6 cabling was also installed between the home's office, basement, and main-floor living room to improve the home's technology infrastructure.

Attention was also given to the room itself. The projection wall was painted matte black, electrical outlets and switches were changed to a black finish to blend with the theater, and a custom-height projector stand was built and finished in flat black for the ultra-short-throw projector.

The finished space combines large-format 4K projection, architectural speakers, Dolby Atmos surround sound, and thoughtful room finishing into a clean and immersive home theater.
